Florentina was NOT released last night

I must apologise for giving false news on the last post. Browsing through the various blogs supporting Florentina just now, I was shocked by a post on Blogul Cristinei Bazavan, claiming that Florentina WAS NOT RELEASED last night after all. She too had seen all the articles in the press relating to her release but Florentina's husband told her that the prosecution had appealed the decision and Florentina was not back home yesterday evening as previously reported. She was still in custody 'pentru ca este pericol public' - because she is a public menace. The court will reach a decision within 48 hours.

I googled til I was blue in the face, searched the press and found nothing pertaining to this news. And then I received THIS, a video report from Antena3 - just scroll down. Cristina's information was absolutely right. Florentina was not released from preventive arrest after all.

What public menace could Florentina possibly be to anyone when all her energy is used in just keeping body and soul together? Does the prosecution believe she is going to seek out Dima and bash him, or maybe return to the hospital and kidnap babies??? The logic of keeping this woman locked up on such grounds passes all comprehension. It is ludicrous particularly after Maitre Corneliu-Liviu Popescu's complaint filed with the General Prosecutor at the end of last month for the violation of Florentina's legal and human rights from the moment she was arrested to 30th August.

protvHERE's Florentina's mum on Pro-TV yesterday and one of the comments under the video from Sophia: "Asistenta nu este vinovata de moartea copiilor. Cum se face ca ea a ramas singurul tap ispasitor?Unde e dreptatea? De ce nu se cerceteaza din ce cauza s-a produs focul? Cine a facut o treaba de mantuiala la sistemul electric???? De ce nu exista nimeni care sa ia apararea acestei femei?"

Later: So, we have been told that it is normal practice in such cases for the prosecution to appeal against release. It is the judge's privelege to make the final decision in 48h. It's fair to assume that if the first judge saw a reason for her release then the second will rule the same way. We sincerely hope so...
